What if you really ate an apple per day....

1. That's 365 apples per year, 1825 apples in 5 years, 7300 in 20 years, and a crazy 18250 apples in 50 years!! That's a lot of apples to be eating!
2. Apples have no fat, no cholesterol, little sodium, and contain only the good stuff like potassium and fiber. What's not to love?
3. At 80 kcals per medium apple. This fruit is a great portion controlled snack. Apples have more antioxidants and more ingredients you can pronounce than those packaged "100 kcal snack pack" things.
4. Apples contain pectin, a soluble fiber which can be helpful if you're trying to lower your cholesterol.
5. Ok, so enough--you know apples are good for you. Then, why do Americans on average consume less than 1 apple per week??

I'm not sure if eating an apple per day will really keep the doctor away, but it can't hurt! With over 7500 varieties of apples worldwide, you could try a different apple everyday and not get bored for well...7500 days to be exact.

Liz Fact: Apples used to be thrown at weddings in acient times instead of rice/birdseed. ummm...OUCH!
